Happy Tuesday!
Here's the latest update on the status of my book. I've begun the self publishing process. It is astonishingly fast. (Besides working out a lot of issues with the artwork and pixels and things). In fact, my copy to proof read should arrive tomorrow.
I'm excited and scared both! If it looks good, then I can go ahead and put it out there and it will be available for sale on Amazon.com. But if there are issues with it, I'll have to go back and make changes and go back to square 1...or would that be square 2..? I don't know ~
I'm still getting rejections from all the agents I sent to. I know the reasons, the rhyming mostly and the moralistic theme. One yesterday had a little extra sting to it that hurt for a few hours. In five years I will probably be able to see clearly what they are seeing, on how poorly written it is, but for now I'm still thinking I'm a rock star. So I'm deluded with optimism.
I started doodling some pictures for the next one. I have a full concept for the story and I'm so excited to start it. And I'm keeping in mind all of the things I've been learning this time around. So when that one is done, I will try again to find an agent, and if I have no luck, I will publish this next one myself also. I just love doing them!
I really hope this proof copy looks good because I would love to be able to start bringing some of them to shows with me and have them available to sign on the spot! Pacing the floor waiting!
